Wedding Ceremony
Your selection of the ceremony site will be influenced by your religion,
season of the year and the formality of your wedding. You can either
have it in a church, cathedral, chapel, temple, garden, hotel, club,
at home, halls, park, museum, yacht, beach etc. In church, cathedral, temple,
the fee may include the organist, wedding coordinator, custodian, changing
rooms for the bridal party and items such as kneeling cushions, aisle
runner, and candle stand. Make sure you ask about the restrictions or
guidelines regarding photograhphy, videos, music, decorations, candles
and petal tossing. Also checked the parking availabity, handicapped
accesibility and time constraints.
To save money you can have the same facility as your reception so that
way you can save a second rental fee. Make a guest list and stick to it.
In church or cathedral ask if there's another wedding in that day and share
the cost of floral decorations with that bride. At the garden you can have
guests stand and omit the cost of renting chairs.
Consider the officiant's fee when selecting your officiant and your
ceremony site. Some officiants may not accept fee, depending on your
relationship with him/her. If he refuses then you can send a donation
to your officiant's church or cathedral.
Don't forget to discuss with
your officiant the readings you would like incorporated in your wedding.
The guestbook should be placed outside the ceremony and reception site
along with an elegant pen and penholder. This is where where your guests
sign-in as they arrive at the ceremony or reception. You should also
ask a friend or family who is not part of the wedding party to be the
guest book attendant. He is responsible of inviting the guest to sign-in.
