Flowers add beauty, fragrance and color. The purpose of flower in main
altar is to direct the guest visual attention toward the front of the
church. The flowers in the ceremony site can be elaborate or as simple
as you want. If your ceremony site is outside you can decorate the arch or
the gazebo or other structure serving as an altar with flowers and
greenery. In choosing a flower consider the color scheme, decor
of your ceremony site. Select a few dramatic showpieces that will
complement the existing decor. Decoration should be determine by the size
and style of the building, the formality of the wedding and the preference
of the bride, the cost and the regulation of the site.
In a candlelight ceremony. The stand maybe decorated with flowers and
greenery for a nice effect. For the aisle pews. A cluster of flowers, a cascade of flowers or greenery
and ribbons are all popular choices. They are used to mark the aisle pews
and add color to it. To add an elegant touch you can use candles with adorning
greenery.
To save money decorate the site with greenery only. Candles and greenery
are elegant and of themselves. You can use the greenery and flowers from
your garden. Another option is to have your ceremony in a beautiful
garden or by the water surrounded by the nature's own splendor. It is not
necessary to decorate the aisle pews. You can save money by decorating
only the reserved family pews or decorate every second or third pew.
