Wedding Day Hair and Makeup

As your big day approaches, get organized! Plan ahead and choose the licensed professional for your wedding day hair and makeup carefully.
Before hiring them:
* Look at their portfolio, and their product collection; if there are hundreds of cans of hairspray, lots of blood red lipstick and spider-like eyelash extensions, it might be best to try somewhere else!
* If possible, have a ‘trial run’, complete with a photography session. This will eliminate any potential problems before the big day, and you will know exactly what to expect for your personal beautician.
* Why not splash out? Choose a full service salon which will offer complete services all day; from skincare to makeup, hair, nails, the works. If you’re going to do it, you may as well do it properly!
Working with them:
* Ensure that the stylist listens to you, and incorporates your ideas with theirs. They must understand your needs, if you have kinky hair for example, and work in a way which accounts for this. Remember to always play to your natural strengths, and wear what suits you best.
* Coordinate the style of hair and makeup with the entire bridal party (with exception of the men, of course!). For example, if you are going for a classic, polished look, consider pinning hair up with tiny flower clips. This is the best bit; girly bonding in the dressing room!
